General Braxton Bragg
General Braxton Bragg was born in Warren County, North Carolina on 22 Mar 1817. He attended the US Military Academy at West Point and was appointed a General during the War Between the States. Battles: Chickamauga; Wilmington; Appomattox.
General Bragg and General Nathan Forrest were continually at odds which ultimately resulted in a temper fit by Forrest.

General Leonidas Polk
Leonidas Polk was born in Raleigh, North Carolina on 10 April 1806. As a young man he attended the US Military Academy of West Point. During the War Between the States he served under General Johnston. Battles: Shiloh, Corinth, Chickamauga, Atlanta. Killed by a cannon ball on 14 June 1864.
